Buttery softness and supple drape: two qualities rarely found in high-performance upholstery fabrics with recycled post-consumer content. Bosco sets a new standard.

Channelling the wilderness
Forests are rich worlds of colour and texture, from the dappled greens of leafy canopies and the deep purples of wild berries to the downy blankets of moss underfoot. True to its name – derived from the Italian word for ‘woodland’ – Bosco channels the wilderness in both touch and tone. With its nod to organic structures, the upholstery fabric – crafted from 100% recycled polyester FR – brings a much-needed sense of nature into today’s tech-driven world.
A nod to natural structures

A new standard
Vescom’s in-house design team took on the challenge of creating an upholstery fabric from recycled content that’s as soft as it is strong. Its high Martindale score makes it ideal for contract environments, while its fluidity and soft hand are rare among durable, recycled-content materials.
Wrapped in warmth
Bosco carries a reassuring weight, settling into a room like a warm blanket. Wintry and woolly to the touch, it brings a sense of cocooning comfort to interiors.

Bouclé lends depth, chenille brings downy texture

Layered depth
Produced in Vescom’s 100%-owned weaving mill in Germany, Bosco draws on decades of knowledge in materials and woven textiles. Different yarns are expertly combined to create a richly layered upholstery fabric: bouclé lends depth, chenille brings downy texture. The result has a retro feel, echoing the flecked warmth of a melange wool.

Embracing furniture like a warm blanket

23 foraged colours
Bosco's 23 muted tones could be foraged from the forest. The grounding palette is defined by key colour groupings: the lush greens of fresh foliage, lichen and moss; the purples of wild berries and lavender; the earthy tones of soil, dried leaves and bark; and the blues of twilight glades and slick stones. Because the fabric is yarn-dyed, every yarn brings its own colour and structure, turning each colourway into a lively melange – similar to nature’s layered colour.

Rooted in responsibility
Bosco continues Vescom’s commitment to creating responsible material solutions that support the well-being of people and the planet. It works in harmony alongside the natural luxury of Cradle to Cradle® Bronze certified mohair velvet upholstery. Bosco also complements other materials that incorporate recycled content, including Mira sheer curtain fabrics, with their nostalgic warmth, and the classically refined herringbone-inspired vinyl wallcovering Harrison.
