Harrison: the well-dressed wall

Herringbone is one of those enduring designs that feels simultaneously classic and current. Vescom adds even more resilience to the timeless story with the design of Harrison, a vinyl wallcovering that incorporates 30% recycled content.

Timeless herringbone
Harrison harks back to herringbone’s institutional and fine-fashion legacy. With its directional movement and sense of depth, herringbone has never gone out of style. The pattern has been part of the British tailoring tradition for well over a century and is woven into the story of the prestigious Savile Row, a place synonymous with the made-to-measure suit.

Tailored interiors
Refined texture, tactility and richness: Harrison brings these associations with herringbone to interiors. With its woollen look and feel and connection to suit tailoring, it helps to give spaces a balanced sense of softness and refinement. The material’s nostalgic undertones invite feelings of slowing down and quietude, fostering well-being. Its moodier, deeper colourways bring the reassuring weight of a good woollen suit to the wall.
Harrison’s warmth and texture introduce restrained luxury to hospitality spaces, helping guests feel at ease. In the workplace, the wallcovering can humanise corporate environments to make offices feel lived-in rather than just worked-in. Harrison’s grounding nature also benefits libraries and lobbies, softening hard surfaces and contributing to a calming atmosphere.

Marrying tradition and technology
Drawing from their expertise in woven textiles, Vescom’s in-house design team have crafted Harrison’s subtle structure with respect for the original woven material, updating the classic herringbone motif for contemporary commercial conditions. Made in Vescom’s 100% owned production facilities, Harrison employs embossment and printing to translate the dry, woollen look and feel of herringbone fabric into an incredibly hardwearing, easy-to-clean vinyl wallcovering.

Connections to craft and tailoring

Responsible by design
Harrison incorporates 30% post-industrial recycled content, sourced from the medical sector – an industry with significant waste challenges. Giving these materials a productive second life is part of Vescom’s commitment to reducing the environmental impact of our material solutions. Innovatively incorporating recycled content into the 350 g/m² category means that even fewer raw resources are used in the production of Harrison, without compromising on performance or longevity. Much like the well-made suit it takes inspiration from, Harrison is built to last.

18 crafted tones
Like swatches found in a bespoke tailoring studio, Harrison’s 18 tones echo the natural woollen tones of high-end suits. The range of cool and warm classic tonal colours – from toasted caramels and tawny browns to stony greys and soft ivories – add a calming and grounding quality to interiors. The herringbone motif lends each colourway depth and richness, its pattern shifting subtly with the light, just as fine suiting cloth shifts in the hand.
